Coaching

Coaching for heart-led business owners and practitioners.

As a qualified equine facilitated coach, I offer you a space in nature with horses to reflect, identify blockers and move forward in a way that feels aligned. Being with horses means you benefit from their in the moment feedback. They live in the present and are highly attuned to body language, so can pick up on what’s not being said.

How do coaching with horses sessions work?

Before any coaching sessions begin, we will chat about what you’d like to get from the coaching and I’ll ask you to complete a pre-coaching questionnaire. This is really useful to reflect back on at the end of our sessions together.

Coaching sessions can take place with horses or without or a mixture of them both, depending on what you’d like to focus on. Sessions will generally be based in north Oxfordshire, unless we agree on another location.

Each session lasts up to 90 minutes. This allows us time to arrive in the space and explore what you bring to the session.

You don’t need any horse experience and there is no riding involved.

Do you offer coaching sessions without horses?

Yes, coaching sessions can take place away from the horses. We can choose a space in nature or go for a walk instead. For some sessions, being with the horses will feel like a natural fit but we can also work with other outdoor spaces.

Can I work with you for marketing and coaching?

Absolutely! This is part of why I decided to bring the two things together.

As a coach, I am bound by professional ethics, which includes keeping what we discuss confidential. When it comes to your marketing support, I will not bring anything from the sessions into our work together and we can set boundaries around what you feel comfortable sharing.

Whilst the coaching work can uncover deeper layers such as exploring our beliefs and values, it is always up to you how much you share.

The reason I combined these two things is that I’ve worked with clients on their marketing for years but sometimes the blockers aren’t really to do with the business, it may be a limiting belief they’ve held onto. Through coaching, this can be unblocked meaning you can move forward in a more aligned way.

What sort of topics can I bring to coaching?

You can bring most things to coaching! It may be a blocker you’re experiencing in your business or maybe you’re at a crossroads with where to evolve next and want some space to explore that.

It is important to recognise that equine facilitated coaching is not the same as equine therapy and, whilst the coaching I trained in can have a therapeutic nature, it is not a substitute for mental health support.

How much do coaching sessions cost?

Coaching sessions tend to work best when you commit to a block, so we have time to explore your topic and you get the space you need. Clients typically find that four to five sessions works well, so I recommend a minimum of four sessions, with the option to extend this, subject to mutual agreement.

Each coaching session is £150, however if you book a block of four sessions up front, I offer this for £550.

How do I know if coaching is right for me?

Ultimately, that is your decision and I’d encourage you to tune in to what feels right for you.

In terms of working with me as a coach specifically, we’d be a good fit if:

  • You have an appreciation of nature and the messages it can offer us
  • You enjoy being outdoors
  • You are prepared to take responsibility for your life and the actions you take
  • You are open to change
  • You are willing to be led by your heart and your intuition.

As your coach, my role is to walk alongside you. In our sessions, I will mostly listen and will ask questions or offer reflections based on what you’re sharing or what the horses are showing. My role is not to advise or tell you what to do. I trust that you know what you need, so I am there to facilitate that.

Authenticity, Honesty and Intuition are some of my values and I bring this to my work as a coach too.
